Eddie Hearn has branded Gervonta Davis an 'idiot' for his comments in the wake of Ryan Garcia's failed drug tests.

Following his upset victory over Devin Haney on April 20, Garcia tested positive for the banned PED Ostarine in two drug tests taken before and after the fight.

He also screened positive for a metabolite of nandrolone (19-norandrosterone) in one of his tests, but that result has not been confirmed yet while it undergoes further lab analysis.

Ostranine is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) used to help build muscle mass, burn fat and increase stamina.

Nandrolone is a synthetic (lab-made) version of the hormone testosterone.

After the news broke, Davis came out and made the bizarre decision to defend Garcia for the failed test while simultaneously aiming a dig at Hearn via the now-deleted tweet.

"They're doing anything to take away the win from Ryan," 'Tank' wrote, "If that's the case, ban Eddie Hearn's silver spoon ass."

Hearn, who has a long-standing relationship with Haney and has frequently promoted him since 2019, did not take kindly to the remark.

"I mean he blamed me? Really? The guy's an idiot," Hearn told iFL TV in response to Davis' post. "I've already messaged him.

"The one thing about Gervonta Davis is he really talks some s***, but why do you delete your tweets?

"Can you not stand by what you say? So you want to come out and say, 'Yeah, Eddie Hearn is a dirty guy for doing this.'

"What the f*** are you talking about? And then he goes and deletes it. So anyway, I'm really sorry but I'm not involved in collecting Ryan Garcia's blood and urine samples."

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn reacts to Ryan Garcia's positive drugs test and believes it's 'very likely' that Devin Haney will have undefeated record restored

Davis has a long-standing feud with Haney and was seen celebrating his majority decision loss to Garcia just under two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, he stopped Garcia with a brutal body shot in April last year.

He hasn't fought since then due to a string of legal issues but is now set to return to the ring on June 15 against Frank Martin at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas live on Amazon Prime PPV.

In his next outing, 'Tank' will defend his WBA lightweight world title for the first time since he was elevated to full champion after Haney vacated the belt before moving up in weight.
