Sean O’Malley is now rooting for Michael Chandler at UFC 303.
The UFC bantamweight champion was a big fan of Conor McGregor and had publicly backed him to make a triumphant return at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 29.
However, his feelings towards ‘Notorious’ have changed recently.
‘Suga’ found himself in McGregor’s firing line when boxing superstar Ryan Garcia tested positive for ostarine following his sensational win over WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney.
O’Malley also tested positive for ostarine in 2018 and again in 2019, so McGregor took aim at them both on X – formerly known as Twitter.
“I am actually disgusted,” McGregor wrote in his since-deleted viral post.

“This ostarine it reminds me of Sean O’Malley — was on that as well. I don’t like this, I’ll bust yous both up. Do yous want to spar? I will set flights right now for you both to do a full-on spar each.
“Hotel, Black Forge Inn, the lot. Let’s spar O’Malley and Garcia, two little ostarine heads. I’ll ride you both like yous are ostriches.”
Garcia quickly snapped back and challenged McGregor to a bare-knuckle fight, but O’Malley has remained quiet since being put on blast by the UFC’s biggest star.
The 29-year-old is now backing Chandler to KO McGregor next month.
“That’s crazy what Conor did. Yeah, F*** Conor,” O’Malley said on the latest episode of his ‘TimboSugar’ podcast.
“I seen a lot of people being like, ‘Damn, I bet Suga’s sad. Suga always talks nothing but great about Conor and he’s his f***ing idol.’
“He just went on a little tweet rant, f***ing booger sugar’d up talking shit. ‘I’ll fly you out for a spar.’ I was more sad than mad.
“Now I cannot wait to see Michael Chandler absolutely just sleep him. I’m turning up. I’m changing up real quick, f*** Conor. When your idols turn to rivals.”
A few hours later, McGregor took to social media to offer his thoughts on Chandler, who he is convinced will not be able to compete with him at UFC 303.
He tweeted: “There is levels and in 7 weeks and 5 days you are gonna see the very, very top level. This next run is for the Clan!”

The 135lb king will almost certainly be in the front row at McGregor’s first fight in three years, and as soon as it’s done he’ll start preparing for his next title defence.
O'Malley is expected to face Merab Dvalishvili later this year, but when they'll clash remains unclear as he recently denied rumours about headlining UFC 306 at the Sphere in September.
